Welcome!
You've reached the U2 portion of my site. You can take the tour, by clicking on the trabbie, or you can skip to the era that you would most like to see.
I was 10 when I first heard a U2 song. My brother was playing "Sunday Bloody Sunday" on our record player. He was playing it for me, because he was excited by the opening drum beat, and wanted me to hear it. For the next 5 years or so, my brother was the U2 fan. He had the opportunity to see them during the "Unforgettable Fire" tour. For many U2 fans, "The Joshua Tree" was the album that brought them in. For my brother, it was his coming of age album. Mine was 4 years later. I had just graduated high school and I was starting college. U2 were about to release their album with the strange name. Achtung Baby was sexy, spiritual, melodic and dense. It spoke to me. It was a battle between the spirit and the flesh. As an 18 year old male, I understood completely the temptations that were around me, and still I felt the over-arcing need to connect with something bigger than me. It remains my favorite album to date, and will probably remain so. There is much to see here and I update as frequently as I find new items, or as I find better ways to display my collection. It's a never ending process as I seek ways to improve it. It can be slow going at times as this is my hobby, not my life. So sit back, with mouse in hand and meet the band that I have enjoyed listening to for over a decade.
Don't forget to check out the "track-listings" and the special "Did You Know?" sections. I encourage you to travel to those sections. There are a lot of extra pictures, special edition releases and interesting facts about the band.
The first bit of memorabilia is on the left. The pictures are from the 12" UK release of "All I Want Is You" The box set included a picture of each band member.
To assist you in your travels I have included two symbols to look for. If you see the trabant, click on it and it will take you on the tour. If you see the arrows, click on it and will return you to the tour. Both symbols have a story in U2 lore. The Trabant was a pin that I bought during the Zoo TV tour. The arrows are from the program for the Elevation Tour.
