Did You Know?

That Walk On is dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi a Burmese Democratic leader who has been under virtual house arrest since 1989. Aung San Suu KyiIn 1990 Aung San Suu Kyi won the popular vote in a general election, but the regime that was in power has refused to give power over to the National League For Democracy. In 1991 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1995 she was released from house arrest, but enjoys a limited amount of freedom in which she can not leave Yangon (formerly Rangoon). The symbol above is for Amnesty International; a group who campaigns for human rights. For over 30 years, they have been campaigning for the release of political prisoners. U2 have been actively involved in promoting Amnesty International for over 15 years.
